Left the Cape today and headed north east to the Garden Route to spend 3 weeks with Greg's family and old  friends in the George, Wilderness area.  This is where Tom and Rob were both born and it was great to be back and get the chance to catch up with everyone. Entire Foster family together for the first time in 4 years and since John's death last November.  Quite emotional, but good to be together and share some closure. Scattered John's ashes at Wilderness Heights on the little farm where we planted an oak tree, and then scattered more at Leintjies Klip - a very special spot at Wilderness Beach. Gave us all the chance to celebrate John's life and appreciate and acknowledge just what an incredible and wonderful man he was and how lucky we all are to have had him touch and influence our lives so closely.
It was great for the 4 boy cousins to share time together, especially surfing at Vlees, Buffalo, Plettenberg and Victoria Bay. Had another reunion of friends at Ballot's House which was fantastic - thanks for all coming along at such short notice.
Sad to say goodbye at the end of a wonderful 3 week stay - but time to move on.
Thanks for the wonderful time we spent with you Gigi. Hope to see you in Oz next year!
