I got up early on Friday with Sue, to go shopping on Corso Buenos Aires. It's just one street, all shopping...yeah!! But I definitely needed to find something to wear for Easter...and I did!! I'm not too too fond of the shirt, but I'll wear it, if not it'll be cute for the summer. It's white with blue and red flowers, with a short knitted blue sweater. Know that I have a shirt, I have to try on my dress pants ...I hope they fit.
Well, I got home and tried the pants on...umm...yeah...I bought them a size small originally...and they are just a little tighter ::tear:: yeah I gained like two pounds, not a lot, but enough to make a difference with pants. But it's cool, they were small originally, and all my other pants still fit...so no problem (haha, oh well...)
Anyway, after the pants drama, I had to get ready to go out to dinner with Josh Owen. He was coming over to check out our apartment, and then we were all going out to Happiness (we love that place). My roommates and I have found it to be one place where the food is always good. I got the usual, and it was good...as usual. Afterwards, we went to the Navigli district to go to showrooms, and see if we could get into any parties...it was absolutely nuts! The streets were packed with people! I did get to see one of the projects our coordinator, Marco Delle Torre worked on. Basically, it was a giant green caterpillar, that resembled a Thanksgiving Day float, and it just sat on top of Super Studio (the place to be during the Salone). We tried to get into Super Studio, but they weren't letting anyone else in, so we just ended up walking around the canal area. It was still a great night, and to have the opportunity to experience the Salone Internazionale del Mobile is just amazing.
Not much on Saturday, I met Rick by the Duomo to hit up some more showrooms. We went to Ingo Mauer's showroom which was cool. I know nothing about him, but his display was showing experiments with light. They other showrooms weren't that great, so we called it a day and were meeting up with everyone else later at school for another design showing. It wasn't that great, there was a display of snowflakes, and others made with clear containers filled with colored water. You would have to see pictures to get it. It wasn't a big deal though, we ended up going to the Mayflower for apperitivo, which I haven't done in like forever.
I left early because I am getting sick (yeah...)...bad cough, soar throat, allergies, sinus...the whole deal, so I just relaxed for the night...Buona Notte!
