Last night and early today some hundred or more motor homes filled with american families arrived at the camp site for the weekend. The sky is clear, and the weather is very mild. It's a very popular campground and in summer is fully booked some 12-18 months ahead. And we know why - we've had a great time, so decided to spend our last day here just enjoying it and taking in the surroundings. Certainly, the kids voted for this! And when you see what was on the agenda for the weekend activities, there was no question.
Started last night with a 'scary' movie - children style - the Addams Family, and then this morning it was 'all you can eat' pancakes. No question, the children were in for that, and we felt obliged to to join them for this of course.
Next up the 3 older ones had bingo in the Rec Centre, while we did some groceries, and then some homemade hamburgers for lunch. After that, they were all off for a craft afternoon. They got to fabric paint, either a bandana, a pillowcase, a t-shirt etc. They loved this. Then late afternoon (after a stint in the playground) it was a movie again, then time for a swim and spa, and then some hot chicken rolls for dinner. Real weekend food!
For the first time since we've been away - it really felt like a Saturday. It was so good.
We don't have a lot in the way of photos for you today, but click on to the website address and have a look. Jocelyn, made a comment on the blog about how it looked more like a Country Club than a camping ground. Yep!

Boston
You know my friend Johanna. She had a choice to study in Boston or NZ. Naturally I am glad she choose NZ or else we would never had met. But, wow, I wonder if she really knew what she gave up. What we do for our boyfriends at the time...
What a beautiful place. By the way, I have to ask, was 'Cheers' part of the Boston tour?
