Marta and I enjoyed an early breakfast around 8:30am this morning.  The Express had a nice selection of powdered eggs, toast, Englisher muffins, cereal, and bananas.  We were hoping for bacon, but was asking for too much.  Before we left for the aquarium we went to the front desk of the hotel.  Marta had read about a discount for staying at local hotels.  Buy a two day pass for the price of one!  Low and behold the discount was valid, so we basically got a free day.  Woohoo!

By 10am we were at the Parking about a block away from Cannery Row.  The cost was $18 for the day.  It was pricey, but worth it not to have to rotate your car every few hours because your meter was empty.  We walked down to the aquarium with a pep in our step because the weather was beautiful.  Sunny skies make for a nice cool 55 degree (F) day.  We provided our discounted two day tickets and stepped before the gift-shop to the right and a large set of windows in front of us.  Closer to the windows we could turn left and see the large three story aquarium of the bay or to the right and see the sea otters.  It was announced that otters would be fed soon, so we stayed to watch them.  Awesome!

Sorry for the short entry but my fingers are tired and my mind is not all there.  We went through the entire aquarium The highlights for me were the cuttlefish and feeding of the penguins.  Check out the photos for some of the great exhibits the aquarium offers.  I would highly recommend anyone who visits the Monterey area to check out the aquarium.  Definitely a major site to see!
