Now I am even more happy to live in this great city! Lots to offer and just a bicycle ride away. These weeks it's film festival time! Only recently I moved by the documentaries shown during the Amnesty Film Festival. Unfortunately I was not able to see Total Denial, a film about people in Myanmar. But I will be able to borrow the movie via the organisation called Movies That Matter. Also seen an impressive overview about the years of neglecting the Darfur situation and a documentary about the tragical situation of a Bolivian woman, who left her kids to work abroad, aiming to give her children a bettter life while losing true contact with them in the process.
Now The CineAsia Film Festival is on, already saw The Drummer, a moving meditative Taiwanese movie. And also coming up the Fantastic Fantasy Film Festival with animation, horror and fantasy! What more do you want ;-))

During Easter I finally acted on a promise I made a long time ago: Cooking with Feline and Ismay. So off I went to Almere on my motorbike, eventhough a snowstorm was about to break free again. Could not wait any longer, hád to ride again! Cold but great as ever! After going through the cooking books they decided on what to make: special sandwiches, cheese pie and chocolate fruit dessert. Yummie results!

And last weekend I took part in a huge motorbiker's trip. I vowed that the sun would follow me during the ride and it did, against all weather odds! About 400 bikers, and Max and me, on the road. Such an imazing sight and feeling to be part of it! I also met another female biker who told me about this motorbabes ride in May, Definitely want to join them as well. Nothing better then being on my bike, touring with lots of fellow minded bikers! Let the summer begin ;-)) Max, next trip... to the seaside! Thanks for the asperges and your great bio breakfast!

After months of busy, busy with March as a climax, the last weeks have been those of slowing down again, in Liekie terms that is. Most of you would find it still quite hectic I assume ;-) Weekly bellydance lessons, although I did skip a few, trips to Brabant to see Jan, the new born son of Ollie and Johan, and visiting Stefan and A to see the lovely kids bedroom and admire the A with her huge belly. Is there really only one baby inside? One more month I will be an aunt! Besides creating a new folder for the chocolate shop and meeting a lovely new colleague, it has been mostly about going to bed earlier and reading a lot. Still not miss this thing called TV at all. No time really ;-))

Great news, although he does not think so, Barry is getting married soon! Unfortunately I will have to miss out on the change to see him in a suit as I will he has chosen my ski holidays to say Yes I do to Karin! But will be part of his bachelor party though! Can hardly believe I will be running around in the snow again soon. It has been 5 years of so, wonder if I remember how to ski?! France here we come...

Oh before I forget: Queen's Day is coming up again! 30th of April.
Anybody out there (in Holland or elsewhere) wanting to have a great day in Amsterdam, dressed in orange, beer, live music and lots of fun! Let me know! I will still have this place, so you will have a place to sleep! Adrien, will you be coming over to see your friend again? Could meet up!

Talk to you all later!
Big Hug from me and my couch surfing cat (she's still around)
