2008 has started in the best way possible....

New Years'Eve was great, not perfect cos the one person I wanted to be there was not. I went to Mechelen, Belgium, as Christa and Sander invited me and some more friends to their place. We had fun, eating at home, watching the fireworks in Antwerp by the waterside, just before 00.00 o'clock I had a diffecult moment and took my I-pod to go for a wander alone. After we went to the nightclub café D'Anvers and had a good time. Let's just say they will remember me there ;-) Lots of alcohol joined me that night! Like the way people will remember me at Herrasmani campsite in Lahti, Finland ;-)))) Sleeping late morning, after some 'forbidden' text message contact with Andy, all in all made it a worthwhile New Years' Eve night.

New Year resolutions: as always I wanted to say; No, don't have any, stupid thing to do. But for once I changed my mind....My resolution is: Truly listen to my feelings! As I now realize, it tells me so much more then my mind.

Waking up without a hangover and things just feel right and seem to flow ever since.
It this what they call the feeling of contentment?
I feel at home, home in Amsterdam, home in my body (oke, some more kgs will go), home in my mind (eventhough the future isn't clear). I realize now this is what I have been searching for. Am I right Woodserpent? With all my heart...Thank You, and other dear friends I met during my travels and friends who supported me from back home! No names needs as you know I mean you...

Amsterdam, some people only see the crowds and the dangers, lost in the unknown, I see the people, the possibilities, the life. An old man giving me a 50ct coin for the shopping cart, buying fresh minth at the maroccan shop, getting my jacket repaired at the Turkish cloths repairshop, on the spot! And thanks Sini, I took over your fascination for buttons! He had a huge box full of them, so already found 26 pieces I liked, not knowing what to do with them yet of course ;-))))) Love these shops, better to spend my money in them, cheaper prices and nicer people. Getting to know my neightbours, who want to offer me furniture and a cup of coffee. Already found the first things on the street (chair etc.) to re-use! The possibility to do things, but also the choice to stay at home with candles and good music. For now, this is what I feel great with.

On Friday I will start my new job, publishing assistant, my friend Mira being my new boss ;-)
A good mixture of work and free time to do other things, as I will only be working 28,8 hours for the company (Reed Elsevier). Less money, but as most of you know this doesn't bother me at all. You need some money in life, but Time is more important to me. Time to do things for myself and for others. See people, learn from them and I finally will make the photoalbums!!!

Ashin Metta, thank you so much for your phonecall, from Sri Lanka! I was very happily surprised! I hope you will like the chocolate! Good luck with the 4-day march, I am there with you and the other monks in spirit!

People, live your life to the fullest, let your heart guide you!

Love you all lots! For the people feeling left out on the photos, I could not find a 2-of-us-photo....but you are in my heart of course!!

Big Hug,
Ma Tha Zin (Liekie)
