On Friday it was time to leave Sini, Anttoni and Olivia. My next destination: Orimattila! Back to Virpi and Kari and the kids one more time before getting on the boat to Rostock. My dad called me to ask when I would be coming home as I am needed in the chocolateshop :-)) So I agreed to be back by 6th of October! Time to work again!

On my way over to Orimattila my motorbike decides to have an unautherized break(down) in the middle of nowhere! Now I thought 'I have ANWB insurance' so no worries right. Calling the Finnish sister organisation...who are very helpful, NOT, by answering; Sorry cannot help you without payment guarantee! As the battery of my phone also dies and my prepaid amount is on it's lowest, I decide to get help myself. So of ploughing throught the farmers' fields to finally ask help at a cement factory. After some talks and phonecalls I and my bike are being picked up by with old motorbike racing champion, who owns a motorbikeshop (how lucky is that!). Now it seems to be an old mistake of riding my tank completely dry so the carborator shuts down and my benzinepomp does not work anymore or my benzinepomp has almost given up. As the replacement will cost me hundreds of euros I take my change and am back on the street again hoping it was the first problem. So far so good! The bike is still running...

Arriving late in the evening, cold to the bone but with my bike!
Birthday party time at the neighbours, so going over there for a warm tea!
It turns out to be a great evening with lots of talking (luckily for me mostly in English).
Saturday it's preparation time as Vera will celebrate her birthday on Sunday. Besides the cleaning and decorations, we also make yummi cakes, pies and a birthday cake of course! Getting my bakery skills into action again ;-))
On Sunday I meet their family, nice to see faces with names now. Also meet their neighbours again! Timo tells me he owns several old motorbikes, so of course I would love to see them. Arrange to meet them the next evening. Then other neighbours Timo and Annmarie find out I love sauna, so they offer me to come to their house on Monday to have a last sauna before leaving! Great!

As I will take the boat Tuesday night, it gives me 2 last days in Finland. As always time seems to fly! Motorbike rides with the kids, visit to the carpet making place (as bought 3 carpets to take home with me, somehow trying to fit them on my bike ;-))), visiting an old handy mummo, having a lovely last lunch with Virpi in an old bank building-tea room! Monday night, Timo and Eeva show me their old motorbikes! They are amazing, completely original. I can even try out the small Honda Monky! Unfortunately can only spend little time with them as after it is time for my last Sauna! It's one of the coziest sauna buildings I have seen in Suomi! Timo and Annmarie even thought of the makkara! After a great after-sauna meal and lots of talks it is time to say goodbye! It's a shame we met up at the end of my Suomi-trip, but yet another reason to come back next time!

Tuesday evening, after the-world's-best-pancake, it is really time to go!
Difficult to believe I am really leaving this country now, hard to leave. Leaving last minute as always, I rush my way to Helsinki. Still need to pay visit to the supermarket and no boat ticket yet, but about 1,5 hour before boarding I make it to the harbour and manage to get myself on board! Made it again ;-))
