Sorry for not being in touch for a lone time, but a bit difficult to get online here. Ever since I landed in Spain time seems te be flying! We are staying in a valley nearby Orgiva, with no access to electricity or sorts. About an hour walking into town, so not as easy to check email as before. Also been busy with Yoga, learning how to drum, meeting new people and going on a 5 day trip with 6 others to Marbella, stopping over at lovely beaches on the way...

Our Spanish welcome was amazing as we were unexpectedly picked up by Lenny, an old friend I met in Mongolia, 2 years before. I emailed her I was coming to Spain, but as I did not get a reply I thought we was already travelling in Africa. Turns out she read my email the day we were flying and decided to come to the airport unexpected. How great is that! So that night we are on our way with all our stuff, staying at her place, sleeping in a great bed, having a midnight swim in the communual swimming pool! Ola Espaņa!

The next day she is so kind to take us and all our stuff to Orgiva...cannot thank her enough for that!
That day Roman is reunited with his brother and 2 nephews! He is living in a wooden house in Beneficio, a rainbow community in a valley, near Orgiva. The place where he is staying is up the hills, bit of a climb but great views! In the valley is no electricity or showers, it is back to washing is water springs and cooking on campfires! He arranged for us to be able to sleep in a house as well, which is great, cos most new-comers sleep in their tents. It is amazing to see what kind of houses people built here. Made out of straw, clay, a mongolian yurt, tipi, wood and plastic etc. I even saw a great tree house here!

After a few days here, drumming, chilling, learning how to make a bread, campfires and chai, we meet up with some people who want to go to Marbella for some kind of Yoga event. Roman and I decide to come along. We end up going with 2 cars, 7 people. Stopping in Nerja for chilling on the beach on the way over and back. Naked jumping in the mediteranean see! I love Spain!!

The Yoga thing is interesting, but also a bit commercial. Not exactly what most of us expected, but me and 2 French people stay for some meditation and yoga sessions, the rest heads out to the beach. We sleep in the nearby forest hills, camping out for free. After a visit at Balta´s place, a raw food eater, living north of Marbella with great land, fruit trees and so on, we return to Beneficio.

No clue how long we are going to stay here. Future plans a bit blurry, with several scenarios in mind. Flying back to NL for Olga´s wedding and family/friend visit is one of them. Traveling overland with a friend another. Staying in Spain for at least the winter another. Learning more Spanish here is a great option.

I had some sad news about my nephew Alex, he has been taking to hospital because of intestine problems. Had to have an operation done, but all is better now luckily. By now he is back home again, if everthing is going well. In these moments it is shit to be so far away! Of course they have been in my thoughts and as I have a Spanish simcard, we were able to call at least. Thank god for (some) technology.

They are closing this place at 15.00, so no time to upload photos now, will do next time oke!
Spain is the country of Siesta, still have to get used to this ;-))

Big Hug and muchos besos!
Till next time
