So we're quite a way off with our schedule, about a month now. How is it that things always take so much longer than you think they will!? Had a disaster of a day yesterday..everything that could go wrong did, got expanding foam all over the van and all over myself while trying to fill a hole. It just wouldn't stop coming out. That's the 2nd time it's happened to me, they should write a warning on the can that once you press the trigger that's it, they don't stop spurting til the can's empty no matter what u do to try and stop the oozing flow. It made a funky modern art scuplture tho, not quite funky enough to make up for the excess work of cleaning up all that sticky goo.
We are so bursting to leave at this stage that we've got a date for a bon voyage party and are determined to leave by hook or by crook within a few days of that (within 10 days) I spent the day today taking apart the large bench seat as the wood was cracked halfway down - I'm gonna turn it into a cupboard with two halfs and a secret cupboard inbetween..shh don't tell any thieves! Lena is all set to start putting up some new wallpaprer, the curtains are nearly done, the blinds about halfway there. Still have to fit the new lock, change the stereo, etc etc etc,
Not to mention the visit to the mechanic, hopefully the parts will be there in time and the job won't take too many days.
Looks like we're gonna have to go via England again now, which is a real shame as we were looking forward to taking the long overnight ferry to france from here. Who'd have thought so many things could happen to delay our departure. At this rate my spirit's going to fly off over there without me n Lena n Scruff will just have to come looking for me.
