The overnight train was good and we shared it with a couple from Timaru, New Zealand and a few cockroaches. After Fraser and Les killed them it was all good. It was nice to talk to people about home and they filled us in a bit more about the damage Christchurch has. Can't believe we will see it in 5 weeks.

We arrived in Hue and caught a taxi to our hotel. We were greeted with drinks and breakfast. We were able to go up to our room straight away and have a shower.

We hired a scooter and drove around Hue. I loved being on the back of the scooter, it was good air conditioning. We went to the Imperial Enclosure and Forbidden Purple City. We then went to the Thien Mu Pagoda. We kept seeing Shirley and Les who were on the train. We went out of town to the royal tomb of Tu Duc. We then spent the rest of the day cruising around Hue enjoying the scenery and our new found freedom. Fraser did let me drove for a bit but I wasn't used to having someone on the back and much preferred feeling the cool breeze siting on the back of the scooter.

When we returned to the hotel they had a nice mango and banana drink for us. I'm loving the service. People are so friendly.

We got some dinner and then I watched the Monaco Grad Prix Qualifying.

The next day we had a bus to Hoi An.
