Had the final breakfast at the hostel, and checked out at 845. Our bus was at 915am. A little early but we didn't have a choice as the next bus was too late for our 2pm flight. Chilean buses leave timely, and soon we were on our way towards Calama, with an airport transfer included for 5500pesos (the direct one from San Pedro was 12000!).

It turned out that the transfer was quite direct after all. The bus stopped along a portion of the highway close to Calama, before heading into town, and 3 cabs (presumably arranged by the company TransBus) picked up the passengers who were going to the airport. We arrived at the airport with no problem at all, and savedi some cash there.

Had a long wait for the flight but thankfully there was good free wifi at the airport. Boarded our plane at 2pm.

The ride took around 1 hour and 40 minutes. When we arrived, got hold of a driver to take us to the hostel at 15000pesos. Before leaving, went to the Sky airlines ticket counter to check out our refund status. However, we had to pay the main Santiago office a visit as they don't deal with these issues here.

Smooth traffic took us to our hostel in around 25 minutes. Our hostel is situated in the district of Providencia, a quiet district with lots of old terrace houses. The hostel building was one such house, with red bricks and bamboo fences. The hostel was clean, and we had a 5 bed dorm where we shared with one other.

Went out to grab some groceries at a nearby supermarket before preparing dinner at the hostel. There was a good collection of movies at the hostel, and caught a few episodes of Game of Thrones before going to bed.

Vineyard tour tomorrow!
