Our bus arrived at Tupiza at around 4am.
Needless to say, it was freezing cold at that time. We overpaid for a cab to our hostel, which turned out to be just a 10 minute walk away, to find out that it was full house and we had to go to their sister hotel to check in. That was around a 5 minute walk away.

The hotel was called Anexo Mitru. We were put in twin rooms, and there was relatively decent wifi in the house. We rested from our exhausting bus ride.

Got out of the hostel around 9 to get some breakfast. Ended up buying saltanas (like empanadas, or puffs), and grapefruit juice off the street. We then proceeded to find La Torre Tour company to find out more about the salt flats tours. There were two major companies here: Tupiza and La Torre. We wanted to find out more about both before choosing. The town was rather small and the office was fast within sights. The polite lady explained to us the itinerary in English, and gave us a price of b1250 for the 4d3N tour, and b80 for 3 hours of horse riding.

We went to Tupiza tours but their staff seemed rather rude, especially the lady called Gladis, and even lied to us about some cartel fixing price on the tours to be b1400. They were clearly not ethical and we decided to use La Torre instead.

Had lunch at probably the best restaurant in town for b20. Headed back to rest for the afternoon since there was nothing in town. Had a bad dinner which served a super salty beef steak.

Gonna go horse riding tomorrow!
