We got out of our hostel at around 9.30, heading towards the central olden district for the sights there. To save money, we chose to walk instead of taking the metro. It wasn't that bad, considering we were so used to hiking by now. In little time, we arrived at the first attraction, São Bento monastery, where the Sunday mass was being held.

After that, headed towards the gothic Sé Cathedral, the most famous church in the city. It was magnificent on the outside, but the inside decos were somewhat average.

São Paulo isn't a pretty city, as we walked along the streets, many homeless people set up their beds on the sides of the roads. The roads smelt of pee, and the buildings were not maintained well at all. Not a good sight.

We decided to head back to the hostel for lunch. Passed by some national theatre on the way. The highlight would probably be the Sunday flea market at the Republica Park, where street peddlers sell their wares.

Rested in the hostel from 12-2, then headed out for the top rated sight according to trip advisor. Same old dirty streets. The best sight was a nice concert hall, but was closed. And so we heard back to the hostel to watch the confederations cup.
