Fresh from our Buenos Aires welcome splashes yesterday, we set out to roam the city after having breakfast at the hostel. Left my camera in the safe, after yesterday's scare. First, we took the metro to Bulnes to the money changer, to get our dollars exchanged for the remaining Argentinian leg. The 'bank' was finally open, and we got our money changed at a 8.3 rate shortly.

Went back to the hostel to pay our bills, then set off towards to Presidential palace at the heart of the city. Wasn't that long of a walk, and the central district was buzzing with businesses and people, unlike the dead town we witnessed yesterday. We walked further south past the presidential palace to the harbour district, which had a nice quay view and an interesting moving bridge for boats to past through.

It was soon lunch time and we went on the search for the recommended restaurants on the map. We came across a buffet steakhouse by the bay (122pesos=usd16) but we decided to pass as it was out of our budget. The restaurant we were searching for was closed on Mondays and we walked into a neighboring restaurant with cozy old fashioned decor. We had the lunch set, I had grilled beef with vegetables, which was awesome. That cost us around 75 pesos per person ($10).

After lunch, we set off towards the Boca district on the other side of town. The weather was nice and warm, and after quite abit of walking we found the Boca stadium (back entrance). To get to the front, the security pointed us through a hole at the side fence. Seemed dodgy but turned out fine. We snapped some photos and walked towards the famous tin houses of the Boca neighborhood. It was kinda touristy with all those tourist souvenir shops by the side, which made us feel a little safer. Roamed around the street and took some photos (regret not having my camera with me).

After that, we had to search for the bus terminal for bus 64 which would take us back to our hostel. Did grocery shopping near the hostel afterwards and rested for the day.
