While my companions stayed in, I set off on a hike to Laguna Torre, another route here at El Chalten for views of the Torre mountain range. It was supposed to be a 3 hour hike.

I woke up and had a simple breakfast at 8, before leaving slightly before sunrise at 830. The signposts for trails really need some makeover here. Took me nearly 45 minutes to locate the start of the trail, whose signboard was placed on top of the hill. Got barked at by some annoying small dogs along the way, but finally got underway at 915.

The path was filled with snow and thankfully the people who had came before had made a well defined path all the way to the Mirador Torre, around 1:15hours in. Took some shots there and had a short meal break. The weather was supposed to sunny and clear today, but the entire Torre range was engulfed by a patch of dark clouds. Not wanting to risk the pain on my heel and bad weather, I decided to head back to the hostel.

Been bumming around thereafter, played some cards and made our meals. Heading back to Calafate tomorrow!
