Got up early at 5.40am, put up the stove for warmth, and packed my bags. Soon, the rest were up, and we loaded the car with our belongings.

Left Puerto Tranquilo at around 7.30am, and reach Coyhaique at 11am. Along the way, Susan took the wheels for a while, but we moved slow... The snow on the roads proved a nuisance as well as there was no friction at times, causing the vehicle to skid. We were safe, thankfully. Somewhere near Coyhaique, we negotiated a turn from the wrong(left) side of the road and got stopped by the police. Thankfully the police guy was nice. We apologized and he left us off.

The scare did not stop there, however. Coyhaique was filled with one way streets and we went against the way of traffic unknowingly (no markings on the road surface) and got high beamed by several vehicles and passerbys. I just hope the authorities don't find trouble with us, the roads really need better markings. We parked the car back at the hostel and left to find a new place.

We settled for 7000pesos Hospitaje Coyhaique, just across the road from the supermarket FullFresh. Went to grab lunch at a bar. Had chorollanas (French fries topped with eggs, onions and beef steak), then proceeded back to the supermarket to stock up food for dinner.

Had roasted chicken from dinner, with red wine and bread. The red wine only cost 1200pesos ($3)! Not great but for its price, I'm satisfied :)
