First treat was going to be the air con van back to Puerta Princesa, which cost more but was supposed to be faster.  However, I think it was about the same time as a bus, and I paid for a full seat which was actually half a seat as they still picked up passengers along the way, a little frustrating but hey ho.

Marco kindly met me and collected my rucksack to take back to the house.  I then went on a search for some more insect repellent; having been bitten yesterday my ankle is now double the size and quite painful to walk on.  I'll get over it though, used to it by now!  Apparently if the bite is warm then it's likely to have been a cockroach, what a delightful thought!

My next treat was a haircut.  I did give myself a trim a few weeks ago, but thought I would try out a hairdresser here whilst things are cheap.  50pesos, that's under a pound!  The 'girl' who cut my hair could not understand what I was saying beacause of my English accent.  They are used to American english and find their accent easier to understand.  'Her' joking about whether I wanted an undercut, I did not find amusing, especially as there was a language barrier.  I said that if  my hair was cut short I would scream and be very upset, I think 'she' go the message.  'She' was actually a man.  I wasn't totally sure what to say when she asked "what do you think of my gender'.  Am I supposed to say, yeah it's quite clear that you are a man but with long hair and dressed like a girl, or am I supposed to pretend I didn't realise?  I later found out that when she/he's ask this, they just want to be told how beautiful they are.

Having asked around for where the tourist agency's were, and being told there were none, I found two on one street!  I opted for a tour with the 2nd agency as they knocked 150pesos off the price and seemed much friendlier and upfront.  They also threw in a lift to the airport.  Although he said if he's not on time, to get  a tricycle, so I won't hold my breath.

Then time for some more Halo Halo, this time served in a plastic cup which was flippin difficult to eat without the milk spilling everywhere.  The cornflakes on top were a bit random, but still purple ice-cream.

Marco met me by the Colosseum which has become a regular meeting place so that I don't loose myself.  The traffic was bad so I started to panic for a moment that I had got the wrong place or time, but off a bus he came bounding along, phew.  Back at the house they let me have Joanna's room again as I'm 'the guest'.  I was cooked rice, spaghetti and tinned meat, which looked very red and probably not meat at all, none the less they did a great job over the coals, and I went to bed satisfied.
