We visited Corleone, Sicily to learn more about my Grandfather's birthplace. Corleone is a wonderful little City of about 10,000 population. We went to th Municipal Building. The walk there was along a street with many murals on the walls to the Building.
Upon arrival I told the clerk that I did not speak Italian and said: "Luigi Gagliano born about 1870. Within five minutes the clerk showed my Grandfather's name and birth date: January 16, 1873. All this without the use of a computer. She made a copy of the data.
We enjoyed the day we spent in Corleone and I took many pictures. We even enjoyed some men playing Bocci Ball. Of course we had to have some very delicious Gelatos and a few Canoles. All of which were out of this world.
