Good Afternoon, Ms. Cobaugh's class!

Today Chloe and I got our passports and headed out to London to visit Aunt Rhonda's best friend, Amanda.  She lives in Paris, but she is on a business trip in London.  We are going to meet her there.  See you next stop!

We landed in England at Heathrow Airport and went to see the Queen of England.  Well, we will settle for a picture of her! :)  Do you know her name?  Starts with an E...

Then we went to wait for Amanda at a local restaurant.  I had my first Cappuccino and Chloe had Tea.  There are places to have tea all over London. The usual is tea with cream and sugar and bisuits or crumpets.  Most people take a break in the middle of the day, every afternoon, much like recess to sit and relax and enjoy some tea. People in England LOVE tea!

We walked around London and saw many wonderful places.  We first ran into , Big Ben and Westminster Abbey where Duchess Kate and Prince William got married.  Then we saw the Big Ferris wheel called the London Eye.  We also saw the London Bridge and St. Paul's cathedral, Changing of the Guard, a red telepone Booth, London Cabs and a double decker tourist bus!  We saw lots of interesting people as well!

We were getting very hungry, so we went to have "fish and chips".  I had never done this before.  We found out that it means "fried fish and french fries" - it was delicious!

That evening, Amanda surprised us with tickets to see "The Lion King" - it was AWESOME!!!!

After the theatre, we walked around some more and then headed to hotel to get a good night sleep.

The next day, we packed and headed to the train station to go to Paris!

We are excited about next stop PARIS!

Until we meet again friends!

Your Friend,

Stanley
