Yesterday met Jo who was staying in the same hostel as us and traveling around the world on her own. Turned out she was from Stapleton in Bristol which is very close to where I grew up although didn't realise at first because she didn't have the faaarrrrmer accent. Ended up watching a few films in the day then went looking for a bar last night which didn't involve paying woman to keep you company. We came across a place called Terry's bar which had a band playing and had only opened a few weeks before hand.

We walked in and it was packed, we were the only westerners in the place. When the band took a break the bass player came up to talk to us. He was wearing a Harley Davidson t-shirt. When we asked him if he had a Harley Davidson, he explained that he was assistant manager for a Harley Davidson's dealer in Singapore. I was already impressed because he could play an instrument (something which always impresses me because I can't) and now I was doubly impressed that he practically ran a Harley Davidson dealership. Then he explained he was in fact Terry who owned the bar! Was beginning to think he was pulling my leg but he produced some business cards and that was enough to convince me. So he could play an instrument, ran a Harley Davidson dealership and owned a bar! Legend. What would have made him even more of a legend would have been a few drinks on the house. Ended up having a wicked night.

Jo left today to head to Thailand. Sometimes it seems so strange to meet people and know you never really have a chance to get to know them properly or may never even see again. But I guess that's exactly the same thing which makes traveling so great, you never know what you're going to be doing next or who with. You don't get bored of some mundane routine doing the same thing every day just looking forward to the weekend. Every day is the weekend!

Today me and Luke went to Pasir Ris which is a park in Singapore, but is actually more like a mini jungle. There was a water park there called wild wild wet which we went to but only had three hours there before it closed. Was great fun. Had a wave machine and loads of chutes and all the stuff a water park usually has including a huge half pipe thing which was pretty mad especially when you go down backwards and feel like your going to fall out.

Booked the final three nights we're in Singapore in the Betel Box hostel which is where we've been staying the last few days. Fly to Australia Monday morning.
