I guess at this point I should explain that the only reason I am not taking a direct flight from Doha to Turkey is that my tour bus leaves at about 7 in the morning on the 24th and this route was the only one that would get me in with adequate time to make the bus (Only just at that)

Sharjah International Airport?  What can be said other than YES there is one and NO you are not missing much if you haven't been here.  I can feel that terrible tingle in the throat and sniff in the nose that tells me I may most unfortunately be coming down with the flu..... Arrrrggghhhh.

Load up on panadol, vitamin C and orange juice from the little shop and pull my neck warmer up over my face in what can only be a vain attempt at not getting anything.

Quick phone call home and can only wonder if my Dad has made it yet.  Will all be revealed soon enough.

I won't be flying into Turkey's main airport unfortunately as Air Arabia only flies to the Sabiha Gökçen Airport which lies about a 40min drive from downtown Istanbul.  Hopefully the pick up I arranged will be there and we will be sweet.  Anyways let us see.
