I took a bus into downtown as soon as it got bright, to try to see if I could find hostel to sleep. I ended up in Chinatown and couldn't find anything - I was very confused, walking around there, and then I tried to find some internet connection to find a hostel.. After having found that I found the hostel after a few minutes. I slept from 3pm to 3am that day - so I still had a lot of jetlag, because og the time difference.
I used the next morning to find a place in the town to stay via the "hospitalityclub.org", that I had tried to use to get into contact with someone from Denmark - but without luck. So now the web-site really has to show what it was made of, therefore I wrote all the SFO-phone-numbers down I could and called them. First time there were no luck, but the second time (when I started from an end again) I got a hit. Robert had just got back from town and he was really quick to say that I could stay at his place and that he could come and get me 45 min after - and so he did. That was just SO good.
Robert made me feel at home and told me the places to go - but as I said before was all these new impressions so strong that I didn't really knew what to do or what not to do... So I kind of ended up not doing anything - I saw the Haight Asbury thoug and downtown. But I was too excited about how hitchhiking would be and therefore I only spend to nights with Rob. He did the best he could and took me out the last day with two of his friends.
