We have arrived at Moscow safely but without our luggage. Apparently, our luggage didn't come with us to Moscow. After filing a lost luggage report with the airport, we proceeded out of customs with only our carry on luggage and met up with our driver representative who was there waiting for us with a sign reading "Cynthia Turski". We introduced ourselves and after the driver arrives (in a Chrysler minivan), we start our journey to our hotel. When we arrive at the hotel, there was a note left for us by Cynthia's sister, Cheryl. It said that if Cynthia and I are reading this and it's 6:45 PM, we should take a cab to the place where Cheryl and company were performing their show that night. The time was 6:30 and since we didn't know the first thing about cabs in Moscow yet, we decided to walk it. When we arrived, it was 7:01 PM. The show started at 7:00 PM. We barely made it to the performance and the seats were almost filled up. At this point we were wide awake despite the fact that we had just come in from a long flight and the ordeal over our lost luggage in the back of our minds, because power walking to the theater had increased our adrenaline levels quite a bit. The show (called Soya) was great. After the show, we were hungry so Cheryl took us to a restaurant called Gogols where we were sitting outside and had some good Russian food. My favorite was the blini which is basically a crepe. This particular crepe was called blini smaslum i smetana (which means crepe with meat and sour cream). In this case, the meat was beef. I couldn't remember the name of the blini when I was writing this so I e-mailed Cheryl and she reminded me what it was. Thank you Cheryl! Afterwards, per Cheryl's recommendation, Cynthia and I returned to the hotel so that we could rest up for the next day.
