A Spanish wedding! You think WE dress up silly?

After last night's debacle of trying to feed earlier than the Spanish, we decided to visit the coast, where we knew that restaurants would be open and serving most of the day.
We didn't reckon on Llanes being such a nice place, but it is, and I recommend it to anyone.
Being Saturday, everyone was out and about, although many still dressed as Eskimo's despite the 23C sunshine! What they must do in winter defies my imagination!
After walking round the grassy cliff-top, with ramparts so you don't pitch off, we went into the old town, which is still surrounded by the castle walls.
Here it was thronging with folk, including an out-of-tune busker. Trust me to come out without my trusty SLR when I most need it......
There are many cafes and restaurants lining the quayside, and we couldn't resist the one called 'Colon'....yep, you read it right, 'Colon'.....with a name like that, you really HAVE to try it, don't you?
The Menu de Dia was, for C, Calamari in ink, followed by Chicken, and for me, a salad followed by Bacalau (salt cod....delicious). A litre of very passable Vinho Blanco, good conversation with neighbours and banter with the waiters all made for an enjoyable lunch.
On the way back, we paused at little coves and bays that we could see on the map, but which had no obvious road to them....until you looked really hard!
All in all, another cracking day, Gromit!
