Hello!
Well, we are in Hollywood now and have been here for about 3 days. It's been really cool so far and we've been keeping ourselves busy!
On Monday we did a tour of LA which included Santa Monica (AKA the Baywatch beach) Downtown, Beverly Hills, Bel Air, Sunset Strip, Hollywood Boulevard, Rodeo Drive and also we tour of loads of celebrity houses. We saw houses that belonged to Britany Spears, J-Lo, Jack Nickleson, John Travolta, Meg Ryan, Julia Roberts, Elton John, Jim Carey, Jackie Chan, the house that Elvis lived in with Precilla, Frank Sinatras old house which Nancy still lives in, Rod Stewarts old house, Mick Jagger's house and loads of others..... We also stopped and saw the 'Hollywood' sign.
We also got to shop on Rodeo Drive and I treated myself to a necklace in the Tiffany & Co shop, mind you it was probably one of the cheapest ones in there but I have had my eye on it for ages....
On Tuesday we actually moved from Venice Beach and now are staying on Hollywood Boulevard. It's pretty cool here but at the same time its a bit of a dump. There are loads of tramps, or 'bums' as americans call them. I was nearly sick the other day when we saw a guy picking out random bottles from the 'trash can' that people had thrown away and drinking the dregs left in the bottom! He even drunk coffee out of a coffee cup! yuk!
Yesterday we went to Universal Studios which was fun. We were there for about 9 hours and went on loads of rides and saw a few shows and had a tour of the studios where film sets from Jaws, War of the Worlds and Bates Motel from Psycho. They were filming Desperate Housewives when we were there too but we didn't any. (Apart from the ones on the tour)
Today we slept in until about 11 for the first time in ages and strolled up and down the walk of fame, had a look in a few shops and plan to chill out for tonight and tomorrow before we got to Vegas on Sunday!!!! I can't wait!!
We've got about 2 and a half weeks now until we'll be home and I'm actually looking forward to it now. I can't wait to have a bath, sleep in my bed and get away from fast food!
I'll try and put the Fiji photos and LA photos on here as soon as I can but I haven't found an internet cafe yet that I can connect my camera to.
