Got up at 7.30 and managed to get the train this time to Auschwitz. The train took about an hour and a half to Oswiecim, or as the Nazis renamed it - Auschwitz. It's not the biggest of the three camps in the area, but it's the one that has all the museum and archives in it. It was a very sombre experience obviously, but I'm definately glad I did it.
It was still fairly intact, and the huts housed lots of information about what happened. Went in the gas chambers and incinerators, which unsurprisingly was odd to say the least. How anyone can deny what happened is completly beyond me.
We also went to the largest camp - Birkenau. It was just stupidly massive. Every way you look is just the chimneys from the huts where they kept the prisoners, and barbed wire. It was scorching hot, and I have a decent tan :) but we just wanted to lie down all the time.
Went out for dinner(back in Kraków)to a nice Italian restaurant, and then decidede we were having a night of drinking purely vodka. 200 ml each later, and we were home. Had a bit more at home then passed out spectacularly, all in the wrong beds.

What's for dinner Mum?
Hello lovely Finn
I'm sitting here with Granny reading your blogs and loving them. Maximum detail on the food which is nice, and yes, a little obsessive. Granny understands completely!! Glad you're having a lovely time and look forwards to hearing from you soon.
lots of love
