I have about 2 hours to kill while on the plane to Charleston so it seems only logical to give a quick review on yesterday's events. Being the day of America's independence, there are a lot of celebrations both during the day and the evening. Along with this, each family will often celebrate the 4th in a different way. For us, we just had a really nice barbecue in some of the nicest of weather.
When it got dark, we decided to continue on with what we were doing the night before. As you will be able to see in the photos, we were having some fun with long exposure and sparklers. Sad thing was that we used up all the sparklers on the 3rd and EVERY store had run out of them for the 4th. So we thought glow sticks would be the next stop. I will try to get photos of that but they may come later!
When it got dark enough, we headed out to a car park and watched the extremely distant fireworks. Honestly, I miss fireworks having the 'WOW' effect because now they are no longer special. After seeing them twice a week in China, they are not as amazing.

Anyway, we are on our way to Charleston so more stories to come!

Fine China.
