Where I stayed
Took the #3 bus from Khosan Rd to Bangkok Northern bus terminal yesterday, then bus to Pak Chong and made my way to the guesthouse. Went for an evening tour watching millions of bats leave their cave for their evening flight. Really interesting!
The next day went with a local guide for a walk throgh the Khao Yai National Park. Managed to see the usual things like gibbons and hornbills, but also got a bit too close to a tiger. Never actually saw it but heard it about 10m away. The guide was seriously worried and we got the hell out of there. Also was lucky enough to see a family of wild elephants feeding. One got a little territorial and chased us away. These things are QUICK!
The guesthouse was very friendly, Jo was a great host, and Phumea a great guide. Recommended!
