Want somewhere to more or less wonder at your own pace, a pace that never speed up?
You can do it here! Laos.
I can see the attraction of this place.
It's a nice place, worthy of another visit I think.
Bumped into a couple of Canadians who rented two trail bikes and were doing a one way trip down to southern Laos. The bikes owner (ex-Dane or similar) had a bike shop in Vientiane and somewhere south as well. One for a future trip!
There were some cool caves near Luang Prabang as well that I would recommend.
And obviously the river rafting is a must.
And the food, ahhh, it's very nice!
