We trudged up the steep hill on a little mud path that weaved it's way up the volcano. Roots tangled together making steps that sprawled themselves all around.

On our way up we passed several little make shift homes made of bricks and mud. We continued to make our way up the snake-like path which wound itself up the face of the mountain. After a lot of climbing and getting lost, we came to a another little shack which looked just like the ones we had passed.

A man greeted us and showed us the way to the office. We sat down there and stared intently at the gorgeous scenery surrounding us! Nacho, the owner, explained about it being a permaculture farm, and so mostly everything was edible.

Zahn and I went off exploring while Mum and Dad checked out the rooms. We saw so many things we could eat from, for instance, bananas, oragano, mangoes, lemons and lemon grass. We also saw bats, squirrels, chickens, dogs, skinks, geckos, and sadly mosques!! :(

We went to see how Mum and Dad were doing, and sure enough, they were sitting over a coffee discussing hammocks.

The place we were staying in was like a two story, thatched roof, tree house nestled in the bushes. Up the top was a double bed and down below were two hammocks for Zahn and I to sleep in. The water came from a crater in the volcano above, so for once the water was drinkable!

Zahn and I set to work picking mangoes and running away from wasps, but that's another story!! :)
