We wander aimlessly along the water front, trying hard to get back into our fitness training ... well, kind of! It is kind of hard to do skipping and walking in such a humid and relaxing atmosphere!!
Anyway .. as we trudge down the water front, people zip past us on motorbikes going 40km/hour. The street is stacked with people and street vendors selling everything from slushies to pork crackling and rice on a banana leaf plate.
We are on the beaten track; tracks and paths on either side of us. Clouds of midges swarm around us. Locals get ready for their daily swim or maybe barbecue on the beach.
Suddenly a dog starts barking at us angrily. (I can't see what his problem is.)
We keep wandering down the road until dad suggests that we head home. I second him and Amber agrees ... so we begin the weary trudge back.

This area of parks, bars and restaurants was developed for visitors. They even charge an entrance fee to visit. I has however become a popular area for the locals to hang out and socialise.

Grandma on

Wow Zahn, your blog was interspersed with the word trudge, it is a very descriptive word and probably that was exactly how you were feeling when you were walking about about on your visit there...and the midges too, are they what we call sandflies? I don't like them they bite and make you itch!!! Wandering aimlessly sounds as though you were bored but what I think you meant was that you had no specific place to reach at the end of your walk. I always enjoy reading your travel blog Zahn........
