From one adventure to the next! We headed to the Daintree River, where we floated down the river searching for crocodiles.  Along the banks are mangroves.  We saw the beautiful Ulysses Butterfly, the fastest butterfly in the world!  We took a small stream off the river, peering into the mangroves in hopes of spotting a crocodile.  When all of a sudden, Crikey!! one jumped out at us, jumped on the boat and started attacking us!!!!  Ms. Thompson is now without her left leg!  Hope you'll all help her out next year!

Ok, maybe it didn’t jump in the boat with us, but we did get to see a large crocodile, sunning herself on the mud bank.  She was a pretty big gal and we got lots of pictures. The locals named her Lizzy.

From there, we drove up to a spot where we could walk through the rainforest to a large waterfall.  Along the way, we swung on thick, braided vines, just like Tarzan, and spotted a cute little poisonous frog. When we got there, we gazed at the waterfall’s beauty as it cascaded down the rocks.  Then Mrs. Swearingen hopped in for a swim.  It was cold!! We both stood under the falls and felt the drops on our back, just like taking a really cold shower. It was a beautiful, peaceful, breath-taking place.
