The Daintree Rainforest has many types of trees and plants. We walked to a platform, where we would take the zip line to a second platform. On this short trek, we passed more species of plants than we would pass in walking the whole of North America!  When we got to the platform, we were near the top of the rainforest.  The top of the rainforest is called the canopy. As we looked up, we were right under it.  The zip line took us for a short ride through the rainforest, giving us a new view of the many species of trees that are found there.  When we reached the second platform, we had actually risen above the rainforest completely; we were looking down on it. We flew through the air with our feet dangling in from of us, being held by nothing but a rope and harness. We took two more rides, taking in all the sites of the rainforest from the air.  Then, they sent us down the fourth one as fast as lightning!  On the last ride, we spun upside down and hung, staring at the ground and the trees surrounding us, and zoomed by. It was awesome!

Julia,
I am wondering about the upside down view. Was it intentional?

Yes, it was intentional. Going upside down made it more exciting!
