Never has a to-do list looked so daunting. We still have to move out of our house (oh--yeah--and sell it), among hundreds of other smaller details. The only thing that will relieve the stress of planning a trip like this will be to get on the plane.

Travels with Charlie
Steinbeck did it right, with a big poodle. We went to France with Collette's cousin Henry this summer and it was quite hard for him at times and therefore hard on us.
But when he was happy it was great. He just needed lots of playground time and not too much driving and he really found it frustrating to not understand and communicate with other kids. I think maybe two kids, friends,same age, might be the best.Museums and long dinners are just not going to happen, relaxingly anyways.
Hey, you should blog every day. Make it a habit. It'll help your trip and we homebound souls need the vicarious experience that you can give us.
