Calendarium of Totalitarianism, an incredibly interesting display in Wenceslas Square (the Christmas carol runs through my mind so I must call it New Town or the square) on freedom week http://www.oponaops.eu/opona/en/projects/Calendarium-of-totalitarianism/about (looks like we will need to take a picture of every panel on display – yikes, we had hoped to read it online)! Unlike France, they generously have the entire display in English as well as Czech.

Very little time to write and edit photos as we are out and busy enjoying the beautiful pedestrian friendly city of Prague. Everything is so old here, first settled in the 900s. But I have been so surprised by how much graffiti is sprayed on the walls of some lovely old buildings. It may have been in other cities as well but I seem to notice it everywhere I turn in Prague. Luckily it didn't take too much away from the beauty of the city but still, why? Turns out that graffiti is common in several eastern European countries.

Prague Castle, Communist Museum, Charles Bridge, New Town, Old Town, Lesser Town – Prague is definitely one of the loveliest cities to wander aimlessly, particularly because there are few cars and kms of cobblestone pedestrian squares.

It seems that language, as in China, is not too much of a problem as many people speak English. The older population, of course, learned Russian when in school but the 20 somethings have been learning English for the past 20 years. A typical answer when we ask if they speak English is "Of course".

Great news, our good friends, Kevin and Julie, are joining us for the last week of our great adventure. How great is that – but we noticed that no one chose to meet up with us in India or China, hmmm, choosing only places like Railey, Thailand, London, or Budapest and Vienna ;-)
