On the next day (20th), nothing much happened. I sat about doing my computer stuff all day. Yes, we are back to that old argument, do you travel or do you write about it or where do you balance it in the middle? Well, I spent most of the day writing
I did go out in the evening to the excellent Dinemore that I have mentioned before and did something I would never do in UK, I ordered Chicken Tikka Masala. For the more culinarily minded of you, this dish does not belong on the "Indian" (in UK a Northen Indian one prepared and served by Bangladeshis) menu and was invented in my country in the 1960's. There is debate as to whether it was Glasgow or Birmingham but it matters not, it is not a traditional Asian dish despite what some creative menus would like to tell you. Same with balti which I believe hails from the very exotic corner of the Empire called Birmingham! .
OK, be that as it may, I just fancied it although I am undoubtedly a curry snob and I have to say it was bloody lovely when it eventually arrived. The concept of fast food has not travelled as far as Sri Lanhka yet. Here endeth the lesson.
I am going to let this post suffice for today as I really should do some more VT stuff, my notices are piling up like mad. I just thought I would make you jealous with the delicious meal I had for about £2!
