Cant believe it but this is our last stop on the trip! The time has just flown by.. it seems like last week we were in Bangkok just startin out...
We had a very rough start to Koh Tao, for some reason the island is STUFFED with people and its very hard to get accomodation. We tried to book in advance but there was nothing available, so when we got there, there was a mad dash as everyone scrambled to snap up the last few available rooms. After a frustrating morning we ended up paying WAY too much money for a delabidated family bungalow.. but thats all we could get. The next day we moved to a better, and cheaper, bungalow and we're much happier for it.
Yesterday we went on a great snorkelling trip around Koh Tao (snorkelling is Ferg's new favourite thing) theres loads of huge coral reefs around the island and we saw some really cool fish, Sarah even saw a baby shark!
Aside from that we've been taking it easy and soaking up our last few rays of the Thailand sun. So we've been lounging on the beach (again) watching beautiful sunsets in the evening and spending our nights drinking on the beach watchin fire poi. Poi here is really good, but it seems a bit more dangerous here as they nearly set some poor girls dress on fire and another guy got wacked on the head with a flaming stick!
Tommorow is our last day on Koh Tao, its really sad, we're gonna miss it, then we've a lovely 12hr smelly bus ride up to smelly Bangkok for the nite before we head back to Ireland on Tuesday the 25th.. So this is gonna be our last blog :( its been an amazing adventure for the two of us, we've enjoyed every minute of it and we'd do it all again if we could.
Thanks so much for reading our blogs, we hope we didnt bore you too much! even though we're sad to be leaving here we're really looking forward to seeing everybody when we get home.
