This afternoon we built an awesome snow-bug. I'm not sure what it is exactly, it’s quite sci-fi. Tomorrow we’re going to build an even bigger one!!! We were out the back of the house with shovels trying to build and Daniels dad, Horst came out and showed us how to roll the snow into a ball. So we went with him to the front of the house and started rolling snowballs. We rolled one so big Felix couldn’t push it alone. Horst went back inside, he’s not crazy enough to stand out in the cold playing with snow. He has spent the afternoon preparing a roast dinner. We carried on our building keeping his advice in mind. We kept building until it was dark and then it was time to come in for the much-anticipated dinner.

Dinner was so wonderful. I usually hate roast, but this I really enjoyed. The meat wasn’t swimming in oil but in lovely gravy. The potatoes seemed like they were steamed then tossed in some spices and the beans also seemed to have been steamed then mixed with some fried bacon. There were dumplings to dip in the gravy and a big, delicious salad with heaps of goodies. I’m never keen to say something is the best but I think this would be one of the best roasts I’ve had. It was so light – for a roast. Well I wasn’t going to write a blog just about building a snow-bug and dinner but after dinner we went outside and took some cool pictures so I have done a blog so I can put the pictures up. As I’m writing Felix and Daniel are watching the soccer. FC Bayern Munchen v. AC Florenz, and Bayern have now won. Happy boys!
