Firstly, I have to say that during the actual cyclone itself...this numpty was so distracted that she forgot to have the camera recording the sounds of the winds as they came....the ominous quiet that decended when we were in the eye of the cyclone, and the roars as it passed....then turned and came back....then turned and went on its way....so you only have this description of what happened.

I did however record the before and after as much as I could.

It was an interesting experience to say the least!  Every little detail facinated me from the unpredictable constantly changing weather reports leading up to it, the way the community and neighbours worked in preparation for it...and remember guys, this part of the world has its own cyclone season and we are just at the tail end of it with only one cyclone haveing passed through, so the community is well rehearsed in what to do in preparation and recovery of such events.I videod the weather reports, the rain, the 3 day black out that followed, and took a few photos of the local newspapers coverage of events.

All in all I think it makes an interesting travelpod entry so see what you think :)
