Oh my budda!
I haaaaaaaaaate snakes.
Today I met the people who will be trekking through Northern Thailand with me. 2 awesome Aussies (sparkies- Nick and Nathan) from Brizzy, my 2nd room mate (Kristie - from Alberta Canada!!), and our guide Seksun. I also met about 15 NASTY HIDEOUS HUNGRY POISONOUS snakes.
It kinda makes sense not to go to a snake show if you have a tragic fear of snakes, doesn't it? Ha ha haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa.......ULG. Please refer to snake show photos. Kate is traumatised.
Also went to
*ancient temple (I did a traditional 'lucky stick shake' and my lovelife/future doesn't look too lucky!!)
*a monkey farm (these animals are disturbing as well)
*a butterfly and orchid park (getting a little bit tamer here...)
*food markets (animals are now skinned and covered in flies)
*cooking lessons (fried animals)
*night markets (same same)
*traditional Thai dancing and dinner (same same, with Thai beer)
...and all of this is in civilisation!! Tomorrow the adventures begin...in the wild.
