No internet last night so sorry for the delay on yesterdays blog....Also found that AT&T is not very strong in Missouri.

We all had a pretty good sleep Ramona, not so much....We got the Van packed up and I went to give the key back to Sandy and she pointed out that we could go a different way to Walnut Grove and didn't have to go back through the town of Greenfield and it would cut of about 10 miles along with less traffic. She did point out though that there were a lot of hills, oh really I said we got a taste of them yesterday......

Off we went and it was already warm at 9am......not liking the heat or humidity. The views were beautiful though and the hills were there and I just figured it was 1 pedal stroke at a time. Ramona started to drive today as they are taking turns driving and riding for me.....Some of the hills had at least 10% grade, you could get a good run going down and maybe a quarter of the way up without gearing down then it would get steep.....anyway it was like that for the first 55 miles today.

We stopped in Walnut Grove for lunch at the Gas/lunch cafe can't remember the name but the gal running it was very nice and made us each a turkey sandwich. There were tables to sit at in the cafe area.....A couple of guys had asked where we were riding to and I told them where I started and the date and where we were headed and my age and he said he was just sitting their complaining about how tired he was and he was only 40 yrs. old, he said that I made his day and was inspired. I also told him about my mission and he said he was doing his part he just hired his neighbor. Then it was back to the heat, hills, and thank god some slight tail winds.

At on down hill I got upto 40.7 mph going down and probably 15mph going up the next. That was best part about the hills you actually could make it up the other without any trouble.

MaryJane and Ramona were taking turns driving today and riding and afternoon they both were in the Van..while Jane and I continued on. We pulled into Fair Grove and MaryJane said she would buy the ice cream, if anyone wanted one....So off we went to the Kum & Go mini mart. Right next door was a Farmers Insurance Agent so I thought I would pop in and say Hi. I was greeted by Delana Ellis at the desk and a customer was in the office or maybe just a friend of hers...Anyway the other gal said I should of Stopped at all the Farmers Agents along the way and had my photo taken......Then I met Les Mallard who was the agent since Jan. 2012. He was working for another insurance for years and then started with Farmers same location.....chatted for awhile and then went to get my ice cream....

Ramona and MaryJane were still in the Van and Jane and I took off for the last 16 miles. We got into Marshfield and I was pretty tired, hot, sweaty......Thanks to Ramona & MaryJane they had everything out of the Van and in our room before we arrived. We all had our showers and then off to eat by then it was about 7:30pm. We went to Grillo's Cafe within walking distance of the hotel......

Today 65.1 miles in 5hrs. 6 mins. top speed was 40.1 and averaged 12.7......

Got another donation today and that puts us at $7,765.91. Thanks to everyone that has donated, and supports me each day.....I do love to hear from people so please send me a note now and then......
