We had a great layover day at Amy & Chuck's. Jane went out with them on their boat while Katy had work to do and I had my ECLBR things to catch up on. So Katy and I went out to meet them on the boat around 1pm......we were out there for about 2 hrs and then went to the Sprint store for Jane. Dinner at the Do Drop Inn restaurant in town, Jane's treat. We had ordered 2 pizza's they were huge and we will be eating them for the next couple of days. Amy suggested that we take the leftovers with us good carbs...Then to DQ for soft serve ice cream and home to play Apples to Apples with Grace their 12 yr. old daughter. It was a lot of fun and we so appreciated their hospitality.

This morning Chuck got up and made us eggs with spinach wraps and then we were on our way by 8:30am, with side, head and some tail winds for the day....Our stop was to be Suger City, CO but since there wasn't anything there we cycled onto La Junta, CO....It was nice weather not to hot but very windy all day....had some road construction but that didn't bother us too much. There were lots of herds of cattle in these different yards hundreds of them and the smell wasn't the best. Maybe thats why we were biking so fast at times.

Katy decided now that it  was flatter she would drive the Van 10 miles and then ride a bike to meet up with us and ride back to the Van....She got about 20 miles in doing that....way to go Katy. We had a few miles of rain nothing to bad though....If we could of had tail winds we would of been blown into Kansas...... For the all the wind and getting in 78.5 miles neither of us felt that tired, I was refreshed after my shower......

We went to BosHogs for dinner in this little town, there weren't many places to choose from and then Katy and I took a hot tub at the Holiday Inn Express.....There aren't many towns between point A & B and now not even much scenery, just open plains, a few farm houses, horses, cows and lots of trafic.....

We now have 90 Team Phantom riders registered, I'm half way through this amazing adventure, have 1562 miles under my butt and we have raised $7405.16 for familys in need. Thanks for you support my friends, family and those I have never met.....Lets double this in the next month and half. XOXOXO
