Sorry for the delay with my blog, we didn't get finished riding yesterday until almost 7pm, rode 76.5 miles and lots of climbing all day. We then had to drive to Craig for a place to stay for the night about 40 miles. There is nothing from Vernal, UT to Craig, CO except Dinosaur.

We started out the morning with Jane having to change a flat a new tire...We decided to take the back roads out of town to Jensen due so much construction on HWY 40 and what an adventure that was, cows in the road, the worse roads ever rough, and even rougher than rough. A big St. Bernard cased Jane until the owners came out of their homes to call his name, I was behind and so didn't get chased. Finally made to HWY 40 after about 15 miles and the road was good and not much traffic.

We crossed the state line into Colorado at about 30 miles, another state done and behind me. Stopped for lunch at Dinosaur Bedrock Depot, and hand homemade bread sandwiches it was Delicious and met Guy a fellow cyclist, he was headed to Denver and final destination being Calargy, Canada. He was self contanted with about 80lbs. He traveled with us for awhile, but we were stopping every 5-7 miles with Katy along the road. So eventually he passed us and we ended up driving past him on our way to Craig.

Jane was my saver yesterday for the last 10 miles, if it wasn't for her I would of called Katy to pick me up for sure.....around every corner we thought we wouldn't climb anymore, wrong and at every top of the hill we thought there would be a nice down, wrong again.....Then Jane played a game with me and said just a few more miles to go so where are some short rides you do at home and I said I don't do short rides it has to be 15 miles or more for me, but I do walk so where do you walk she asked; I walk to the banks by way of the path and it is about 3-5 miles so we are just getting you to your banks and back thats all the further we have to go.....We then saw Katy again and took the last nice down hill and I was traveling about 38 mph.....Katy met us at the bottom and we called it a day.....I was so tired by the time we got into the motel, we changed clothes and went for dinner at Italian restaurant Carelli's, boy we all ordered something different and took taste from one another and cleaned our plates.......It was a good day and I went fast asleep when we got back from dinner.....
