What more could we ask for. We had a delightful breakfast at the hotel in Orem and off for our first hill of the day and it was the smallest. We got the wrong directions so got a few extra miles. The Provo River Trail was finally found and it was beautiful a lot nicer than yesterdays, we were surrounded by mountains in the Provo Canyon Road and saw a big waterfall.

As we were cycling along the trail all of sudden we were among the Army from Camp Campbell not far away a whole bus load full of guys piled out to do a hike, run or walk on the trail I guess. When we got out onto Hwy 189 is when the climb began and it just kept going and going up, up,up...the only nice thing was it was gradual so you did think it was so bad. We stopped in Heber City and had lunch at the Hub Cafe.....

Got back on our bikes and then the climb started again and it got a little steeper as we pedaled. I kept thinking around this next corner and then we will go down and around that corner was more climbing to be done.....so we climbed and climbed with head winds that kept us almost standing still. Katy was at different spots for us and about a mile before we got to the summit I took a ride and the summit was 8020' elevation. Jane kept pedaling up the last mile, bravo for her.... There was nice lodge, restaurant, store and other beautiful buildings. The day brought back memories of doing the Courage Classic in Seattle.....Going through Denny Creek area and along I-90....

After the summit I got back on my bike thinking is was going to be a long, long downhill and that was disappointing only about 8 miles with a little tail wind. We had decided to ride as far as we could today and get to Fruitland. We rode about 55 miles, got in the Van to go to Fruitland where there was suppose to be this beautiful Camelot Resort we never saw Fruitland and went down the road about 4 miles to find the Resort and the pavement ended so we turned around so ended up in Duchesne for the night at Camp World. Jane is in her tent and Katy and I in the Van. In town they wanted $90 at this Duchesne Inn and it looked terrible outside and the reviews were not good so was able to camp for $25 and maybe not quite the same comfort but who knows it may be better.

Anyway we had a nice day and are very tired so enjoy the photos from Katy who is doing a excellent job of driving and playing photographer. Sweet dreams, I know I will be alseep as soon as my head hits the pillow.

Your amazing and I think of you every day. I'm so glad you enjoyed Provo Canyon. Garve and I take lunches and meet the family up there. My prayers are with you and your safety along the way. I'll pray for your strength because you still have a lot of climbing to do to get to Colo. The scenery will be beautiful but it could get cold again the higher you go. I've told everyone about you and plan on talking to Don tomorrow at church. I go girl the world is watching. Love to you and tell Bill Hi.
