We had a beautiful morning as we left the Anderson Camp and headed to Burley, ID on HWY 84 today instead of a back road that would of taken us back a bit and then forward. We first pedaled back to the Snake River Gorge which was only about 1/2 mile back and well worth the trip, it was so unusual and beautiful. We took photos me with my iPhone and Jane with iPad, I was not able to upload from my phone and don't know why......so they will come later.

We were almost 20 miles out doing small rollers nothing much of any climbing. I think we onky had 700' elevation gain today....then I got my first flat tire for the trip and sweet Jane was ahead a little and came back and proceeded to change my tire for me, I found the small staple that was in there, that took about 30 minutes the tire was hard to get off, it was brand new and I was told that tire would need a lot to puncture, well that wasn't so true......Anyway back to pedaling only about 10 more miles and then the back tire was rubbing again with the brakes so Jane again came back to see what was happening.....Well we couldn't seem to get it fixed and Bill was only about a mile plus up the road but because of the HWY it would of taken him about 10 miles to go back and come forward for us. So knowing we were close she unhooked the brakes and I rode that little bit without the back brakes. Then I hopped on the Bianchi and we got into Burley without anymore troubles.

Bill had gone straight to check out places and found the Budget Motel to be the cheapest, and it had a Perkins restaurant right next door that we could walk too, we were all hungry by then. So we ate and then Jane took off to get a few more miles under her and we took the bike to Rocks Bike Shop in Town, dropped it off and Rock said he would have it ready by 5pm....Then off to the bank to make deposit. While Bill was parking the Van he saw a Espresso with Seattle Best Coffee and was coming of that shop as I was coming out of the bank. I was so in need of a latte, he said come back and meet the ladies inside Alice the owner of Alice's Coffee and Espresso and a customer Gina. They asked a few questions and were quite amazed at my journey. We sat and talked to Alice for about 1/2 hour, she used to live in Seattle and had a son in our area....Very excellent coffee and nice visit talking about helping people in the communities. She said that the community had 2 yrs. ago helped 25,000 and last year 39,000...we were amazed at the amount of people in need.

After that we visited the Computer Store and met Tyler and very nice young man that helped with understanding the videos, computer and burning DVD and all of that I just have to try to remember all what he said.

We then came back and got the laundry in and done before heading back to the bike shop. Rock had added new cable and a couple of things for me, he also took care of the squeaky noise that I hadn't even asked him to do as I forgot.....He was very nice and I'm hoping tomorrow that the Raleigh will do better than today.....

We got back to motel and Jane had finished 62 miles for the day, she trying to catch up with me, well that won't happen unless she rides extra each day...then maybe.....We were all hungry again and so went to the Mexican restaurant and got filled up, a trip to the grocery store for Jane and I while Bill walked back and got her laundry out of the dryer....He is most helpful with everything stitching, doing laundry, fixing the easy parts of bikes etc...we will mis him when he leaves.

All in all it was a great day, I was a little tired through the day being that is was 5 days straight and to keep on track have 2 more days before a day off. Thanks for all the support. Sweet dreams everyone.
