Where I stayed
Anderson Camp cabin
The morning started out about 8:30am and within the first 10 miles we were climbing about 1000' elevation, not bad for me since I'm getting stronger, but it was Jane's first day in a while...she did great. We were seeing all these beautiful water falls along the way and lots of horses, cows, sheep and some goats.
It was when we took a left that the fun began tail winds and boy was it easy.....We had to stop a couple of times due to my phone ringing it was Jay Michaels from KMVT TV and he wanted to meet me for a TV interview, well that was pretty exciting. So just out of Buhl he showed up in his car he was the one man show media guy and very nice at that.....He gave both of us hugs after the interview and wished us well. Said we would be on at 6 & 10pm news. We then went to Charis to eat in Filer a good meal and friendly people in the restaurant and wanted to know how far we pa were going and were amazed when I said across the USA....They were pleased that I stopped and talked to them. The lady said she had seen us from her front window as we cycled by....
Then we got into Twin Falls started looking for a cheap motel since sometimes we have found that its only a few dollars more than the Rv site...and tent. The first place was not the cleanest outside and we decided to get a few more miles under us, so kept riding. We had talked about Anderson camp but we thought it was having to go back and I hate to go backwards at any time....So we stood at this corner off the road looking for KOA on our electronic devises and decided we would ride further ahead and then tomorrow wouldn't be as far...
So we stopped for a Potty break and asked this gal about a camping spot and she said jsut down the road about 4 miles and guess what it was Anderson camp and we got a cabin cheap. So it all worked out. Biked 50 miles and wasn't even tired. Feeling really well and having a great time, so glad to have Jane out here with me.
We went to the club house to see the 6pm news, and Jane and I sat and talked for a while and as we were going back to the cabin the sunset was awesome you'll see the photos Bill took. the cabin was comfortable and worked for us.
