Steve flew back to the US on the 10th and I flew on the 26th.  We took a minor detour to Texas and drove a motorhome back to San Diego.  While we were in TX, we were able to make a stop in Dallas to meet up with some of Steve's relatives.  On our USA road trip, we debated going to Dallas but since it was out of the way and with the cost of gas, we gave it a miss.  Life has a funny way of allowing do-overs.

Ironically, as we were driving back west, we found ourselves in a very familiar situation.  It was Steve, Rusty and I on the road again.  Nostalgic.  We made a few stops along the way and had initial plans to go through Joshua Tree and LA.  However, with all the traveling we had been doing, we just bee lined it back to SD.  Besides, we still had two more fur kids to reunite with and Rusty hadn't seen Roxy and JB in over two year!

We seem to always find ourselves visiting SD during the month of April.  The reason I know this is because we have been celebrating my mother-in-law and nieces birthdays, nearly every year since we happened to fly in on the exact day that our youngest niece was born.  What are the chances of that?!

We knew the date that we were flying to our potential new home in the USVI, since we bought our one way tickets while we were in Japan.  That gave us some time to just enjoy being in San Diego before settling down for good.  We checked out a ton of micro breweries and explored our potential next path in life.
