We've been wanting to go to Cedar Point for ages! It's not the most convenient location though. The last time we were in the area was a February so the park was closed. This time we were just in time as the kids had all gone back to school and with it being a Monday, we were hoping for shorter lines. We didn't need to worry about Rusty either as he stayed behind in Cleveland with his grandparents.

If you love coasters, this place is tops. In fact, on our very first coaster, the Wicked Twister, our phone slipped out of Steve's pocket. We were lucky that someone saw it gleaming in the sunshine, slightly hidden in a grass patch. What luck b/c that patch of grass save it from breaking into a million pieces when it fell 30 stories. The phone didn't survive to working conditions but we were able to get our SIM card. We had a spare phone too! So not too much of a loss but we decided not to risk another mishap with our GoPro and put all loose items back in the RV.

Raptor was a long, fun, steel coaster and Maverick provided a lot of unsuspecting twists and whipping turns. The Mantis was one of the best standing coasters we've been on as those tend to be weak. The Mean Streak was my favorite wooden coaster as it weaved in and out of the beams and the Magnum XL-200 was a steal coaster that felt like a smooth wooden coaster. We rode the Power Tower and although I'm afraid of heights (sounds off I know), the one that brings you up slowly and dangles you in the air (I had my eyes closed for that bit), before dropping you, was the better of the two. The newest ride, Wind Seeker, was a gigantic swing that lifts you 30ft in the air and spins you around. (I only do these rides for Steve, believe me!) I was frozen most of the time but Steve said he started to get dizzy going round and round.

By far the best ride was a coaster called, Top Thrill Dragster. Google it...it's INSANE! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Top_Thrill_Dragster We sat in the last car our first ride and it scared the crap out of me. Then at night, for our very last ride, to end the summer, we sat in the front. I nearly had a heart attack and could feel my eyes fighting to stay in place. What a RIDE!! It's actually the only picture we have of the day. We were about to walk out the gates as CP was closing but last minute we ran back to buy the picture. Luckily there was another person there still trying to finish buying their picture and they managed to find ours, as we had just ridden it. The quality of the picture is crap but the image is priceless...
