On our way to visiting Steve's relatives in Cleveland, we stopped at Buffalo, NY, for their famous wings. We were given a few suggestions but decided to go with Anchor's Bar, since they are home to the original wings. Our eyes were way bigger then our stomachs as we ordered 50 wings and a pizza! HELLO! The pizza was one of the best I've ever eaten. As for the wings, we ordered half medium and half hot bbq. The medium was too dry but the hot bbq was finger lickin' good!
We drove to Sturgeon Marina for lunch the next day and walked around the pier. We were taking things nice and easy, thinking there was no rush to get to Cleveland. Then Steve's mom talked to her sister and found out that her niece was cheering in the 1st football game of the year. If you know anything about small towns, Friday night, high school football games are the place to be. We made the decision to skip lallygagging and drive the three hours. We knew we would be late but were glad to make it there just after half time. Up front and center, we must of embarrassed her by being groupies, total paparazzi. Oh well, it's not everyday we are in town!
The next day we got to see their nephew/Steve's cousin, play quarterback in a scrimmage. We spent the afternoons with Steve's grandma and the nights bbqing and chatting with Steve's aunt's family and friends. Of course stories of yesteryear were passed around the table, then the pictures came out. Good times with the fam...
