We were already on a high and were fairly certain that Acadia NP would not disappoint. The weather was starting to clear up and the temperature was mild. All along the drive we saw bicyclists pedaling along, enjoying their serene surroundings.

As we always do, we pulled into the Hulls Cove VC to get info on the trails and we learned that LL Bean sponsors a propane bus throughout the park. We were going to take full advantage of the free bus as they allowed dogs and there was one overpass which we didn't think Big B would be able to clear.

The first day, we took Rusty with us and hiked the Great Head Trail, around Sand Beach, Jordan's Pond up through South Bubble. There were large boulders where some owners had to turn back because they had bigger dogs but Rusty was just light enough that we could pass him between us. We were all loving some Mother Nature.

We waited for the next day to hit up some of the rails and ladders. The weather was nice and cool so no worries leaving Rusty behind although his sad face showed a look of disappointment. We got to hike Precipice through to Beehive and down the Bowl. The views were great and since the sun was out we headed back to Sand Beach, took off our socks and shoes to allow the sand to massage our feet, as we strolled along the beach. I even found a dollar...sand dollar.

Not wanting to leave Rusty for too long, we went back to check on him and walk him around a bit. Thought about driving up to Cadillac Mountain but decided to save that for another trip and a sunrise experience. We went back into town and stopped in at Pat's Pizza. We needed a snack and some beer! The waitress accidentally poured the wrong pitcher so she gave us one for free. A little icing on top of our cake...
